I have reorganized
our flock, and sold the ducks we won't be using. We will be raising purebred
Anconas. Most of this flock is brand new, and are still getting
used to their new home. So, we won't be starting any hatching,
or egg sales until Spring of 2012.

Three of these ducks have
Holderread bloodlines. The other 7 came from Flom's. One of the
Holderread ducks is crested (the drake). There is also a
Non-crested drake in the Flom line. None of the Flom ducks have
ever produced a crested duckling.
They
are bred for:
Multi-colored eggs
(white, cream, green or blue), Medium weight and body type,
and highly marked individuals.
Possible colors out of this line
include white with:
Black, Chocolate, Blue, Lavender, Silver
and Tri-color in any
combination of 2 of these colors on white.
The hens will lay 210-280 eggs a year,
and lay almost year round. When we are not hatching, eggs will
be available for purchase.
At 8-12 wks, they are big enough to
make an excellent table bird. However, if you are planning to
eat them, please don't tell us, we don't want to know. They are calm, and can be friendly,
if raised properly. They do fine in colder climates with
adequate shelter available to them. With their awesome coloring
and humorous personalities, they are the ultimate pet, backyard
& farm duck!
This breed is
critically endangered by the American Livestock Breeds
Conservancy. This is their page of information on this breed:

Guarantees
Ducklings:
We do not
guarantee the survival of ducklings. We also will not
guarantee sex until after they are 16 weeks old.
Eggs:
We do not
guarantee hatches. Nature dictates who hatches, and who does
not. Optimal incubator conditions help a lot.
Crests:
The Holderread ducks may produce some
crested ducklings, but it is a low ratio. I cannot guarantee
you will get cresteds, out of hatching eggs from these
ducks.
Shipping
We
do not ship live ducks, or ducklings. We will ship eggs. We
will do our best to package eggs securely to prevent postal
abuse, but we cannot guarantee their condition up on
arrival.
